Factor G6 is an exciting breakthrough in the hair growth and hair restoration industries.

Factor G6 (FG6) contains 6 growth factors which act on existing hair follicles to:

Both men and women all over the world are experiencing amazing results by using Factor G6 on a weekly basis in their health care professional's clinic.

This powerful combination of 6 growth factors with 37 essential nutrients for hair and scalp health are lyophilized into a sterile powder ready to be applied topically during your weekly treatment.

Hair Loss Cause

To understand just how Factor G6 works, we need to understand hair loss.

Hair loss is also known as Alopecia. Hair loss results from hormonal, chemical and systematic changes in the body. Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is a sex steroid and androgen hormone which can be responsible for hair loss in pattern baldness patients.  5-reductase (an enzyme) synthesise DHT in the prostate, testes and hair follicles. In males, approximately 5% of testosterone undergoes 5-reduction to form the very potent androgen, DHT.

The dermal papilla of a hair (see figure 4) is responsible for hair growth and contains many androgen receptors. These dermal papilla cells divide to form new hair follicles. Once DHT binds to the receptors of the dermal papilla, it inhibits hair growth by robbing the hair follicle of nutrients vital for hair growth. Experts believe, in the case of male and female pattern baldness, if we stop DHT from binding to the receptors, we have a good chance at stopping hair loss.

Miniaturization

As we begin to lose hair, the hair progressively shrinks with the hair follicle. The hair grows for a shorter period of time and becomes lighter in colour, finer in width and smaller in length, until it finally reaches the vellus stage.

Growth Factors

Factor G6 Contains 6 growth factors targeting hair loss, miniaturization, improving thickness and colour.

IGF-1

IGF-1IGF-1 or Insulin Growth Factor strengthens the hair follicle whilst stimulating hair follicles to produce a strong hair shaft.

KGF-2

Keratinocyte Growth Factor stimulates capillaries and endothelial cell migration and proliferation. By encouraging angiogenesis,, KGF-2 is able to encourage the body's own ability to increase blood flow to the scalp, increasing the amount of blood supplying the hair follicles, and thus increasing the required nutrients and minerals for a healthy scalp and hair.

bFGF

Basic Fibroblast Growth Factors help blood circulate through the scalp and revitalizes hair follicles.

VEGF

Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor, as its name implies stimulates endothelial cells of blood vessels to proliferate and grow. This is a mechanism called angiogenesis. VEGF as a hair growth stimulator is not a new idea. Many clinical studies have looked at VEGF production in carious hair follicle compartments. Hair follicles have a cycle of growth (FIgure 6) called Anagen, Catagen and Telogen (resting phase.) When hair follicles are in their resting phase they are very small and inactive. When they enter their growth phase they become much larger and and the cells of growing hair follicles are the fastest generating healthy cells in the body. As such they need a good blood and nutrient supply as a result of this rapid increase in cellular activity.

SCF

Stem Cell Factor (or SCF) has been studied and linked to melanocyte (the cell containing melanin or pigment which is responsible for hair or skin colour) activity. SCF is the ligand for the cell surface receptor c-Kit on melanocytes, which may play a role in hair pigmentation. The dermal papilla probably provides local SCF for follicular melanocytes. Many of our clients who have received Factor G6 treatments have commented on how much darker their hair is post treatment. SCF is also responsible for a thicker hair shaft and a stronger hair.

NOGGIN

Noggin is a protein responsible for many factor affecting hair loss. Firstly it shortens the telogen phase, increasing the rate at which a new hair will grow in the Anagen phase. It also inhibits BMP (a natural growth factor produced within our bodies.) BMP induces selective arrest of anagen development suggesting that Noggin is essential for hair growth.

FAQs

Growth Factors are protein molecules made by the body. The body normally produces 0.4 ng/ml worth of its own EGF. They regulate cell division and cell survival and bind to receptors on the cell surface with the result of activating cellular proliferation and/or differentiation.

Some growth factors stimulate cellular division in numerous different cell types while others are specific to a particular cell-type.

They can be produced by genetic engineering in the laboratory and used in biological therapy… and now cosmetically.

Growth factors are used medically for the last 20 years to treat blood diseases and cancers, and they also have a strong history with wound healing.

Today, Growth Factors play a role in skin rejuvenation, hair rejuvenation and cosmetics. Through medical research, companies have been able to identify key growth factors which facilitate age reversal of our skin and hair.

A: Factor G6 works in several ways to deliver new hair growth, thicker hair and revive tired and damaged hair. All 6 growth factors work together to induce hair growth by:

  • Produce a stronger hair
  • Produce a thicker hair
  • Increase blood supply to the scamp
  • Increase nutrients needed for hair growth and scalp health
  • Return pigment/colour to the hair
  • Generate new hair
  • Inhibits BMP and the conversion of Testosterone to DHT.

Factor G6 not only have 6 growth factors but additional ingredients to promote a healthy scalp and hair.

  • Water - to provide hydration for the cells
  • 37 varieties of nutrients
  • 21 amino acids - building blocks for cell renewal
  • Vitamin B complex - the energy source for hair growth
  • Glutathione - a detoxifying agent
  • Minerals including zinc and magnesium

Most clients express a mild discomfort during the treatment. 98% of clients in Australia have tolerated the treatment without concern. If you are concerned, speak to your health care professional

Factor G6 needs to be applied on a weekly basis for 10 weeks. Then a maintenance treatment program is required on a monthly basis or as required.

The treatment only take 15 minutes and you can return to your normal activities straight away.

It is best to leave the Factor G6 Complex in your hair for at least 4 hours. Do not get your hair wet with rain or during bathing during this time.
